Overnight in Thimphu 21
Arrival in Paro and transfer to Thimphu: Once you arrive in Paro, you will be received by our representative and guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Thimphu (55 km/ 2 hour drive approximately)19. Depending on the time, you may proceed for city sightseeing or relax. You may visit the interesting Weekend Market (Thu-Sun)20.
DAY 02
Thimphu Sightseeing
Day 2 Thimphu Sightseeing: In the morning, visit the Handmade Paper Mill, School of Arts and Crafts (closed on Sundays/government holidays), Folk Heritage Museum, and National Library22. After lunch, drive past Memorial Chorten built in memory of the 3rd King23. Visit Buddha Viewpoint, Changangkha Lhakhang (oldest temple), the Takin Enclosure (national animal), and Zilukha Nunnery24. Thimphu to Paro & Paro Sightseeing
Day 3 Thimphu to Paro & Paro Sightseeing: After breakfast, drive back to Paro26. Visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong) and the 17th-century Paro Dzong (Fortress) on foot, walking through the oldest wooden bridge still in use27. Evening, stroll the old Paro town and peep into some local handicrafts stores28. Overnight in Paro 29

Paro Sightseeing: The Tiger's Nest Hike
Day 4 Paro Sightseeing: The Tiger's Nest Hike: In the morning, hike to the Tiger's Nest Temple (Paro Taktsang)30. The temple hangs on a granite cliff 900m above the valley floor31. It is associated with Guru Rimpoche, who is believed to have meditated here for three months32. It is a 2-hour walk uphill for an average hiker33. Evening, return to the hotel and relax34.
