Glimpses of Bhutan via Bagdogra

DAY 01

Arrival Phuentsholing:

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (500Ft/150Mts) and be met by our representative to board your vehicle to Phuentsholing (165 Kms/ 05 Hrs). After clearing immigration formalities, check in at the hotel. Later, if time permits, visit Zangtho Pelri, a small temple representing the heaven of Guru Rinpoche. In the evening, explore the local market.

DAY 02

Phuentsholing to Thimphu (approx. 6 hrs):

Day 2 Phuentsholing to Thimphu (approx. 6 hrs): After breakfast, proceed to Thimphu. Enjoy a scenic drive climbing up from the Indian plain to Bhutan foothills, passing through beautiful forest, towns, and roadside villages. The drive will take you through Gedu, Chukha, and Chuzom before reaching Thimphu. Check into the hotel and, in the evening, explore the city by walk. Thimphu (Damisa Hotel Or Similar)

DAY 03

Thimphu Sightseeing

Day 3 Thimphu Sightseeing: In the morning, visit the Handmade paper mill and the School of Arts and crafts (closed on Sundays, government holidays) where students learn 13 different arts. Visit the Folk Heritage Museum and National Library before lunch. After lunch, drive past the Memorial Chorten built in memory of the 3rd King. Visit Buddha viewpoint, Changangkha Lhakhang (the oldest temple in the valley), the Enclosure where the national animal (Takin) is kept, and Zilukha Nunnery. Thimphu

DAY 04

Thimphu to Paro (55Kms/2hrs) & Paro Sightseeing:

Day 4 Thimphu to Paro (55Kms/2hrs) & Paro Sightseeing: After breakfast, check out and proceed to Paro. This picturesque region is one of the kingdom's widest valleys, covered in fertile rice fields with a beautiful, crystalline river. After checking into your hotel, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Paro. This includes Drukgyel Dzong (ruins of an old fortress), Kyichu Lhakhang (a famous Monastery), and Ta-Dzong (National Museum of Bhutan). Paro (Paro Eco Lodge Or Similar)

DAY 05

Paro Sightseeing: Tiger's Nest Hike

Day 5 Paro Sightseeing: Tiger's Nest Hike: In the morning, hike to the iconic Tiger's Nest Temple (Paro Taktsang). This most revered temple literally hangs on a granite cliff overlooking the Paro valley at 900m above the floor. The temple is associated with Guru Rimpoche, who visited in the 8th century. It is about a 2-hour walk uphill for an average hiker. Evening, return to the hotel and relax. Paro

DAY 06

Paro to Phuentsholing (180 Kms/06 Hrs

Day 6 Paro to Phuentsholing (180 Kms/06 Hrs): After breakfast, retrace your scenic drive back to Phuentsholing. Relax in the hotel and prepare for your departure the next day. Phuentsholing (Hotel Lotus Villa Or Similar)

DAY 07

Phuentsholing Drop:

Day 7 Phuentsholing Drop: (160 Kms/05 Hrs) After early breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for Bagdogra Airport to board your return flight. Our representative will help you with exit formalities and bid you farewell.
